BKMRK’d – March 2018

How is it March already?! February seems to have FLOWN by (although it does NOT feel like March in the UK because it’s like -10°C here). Here are our teen/YA March titles. Don’t they look great?!

The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu (8th March 2017)

A striking book about breaking down stereotypes from the author of Zoella Book Club pick, Moxie.

First there was Moxie which sought to take down the patriarchy.

Now, there’s The Truth About Alice, a book about breaking down stereotypes.

The verdict is in: this book should be on the curriculum.

The Astonishing Colour of After by Emily X.R. Pan (22nd March 2018)

Life, loss, love and art explode in a kaleidoscope of emotions in this powerful and beautifully written book.

Warning: This book will break you. But it is spectacular.

We also have a John Green quote and he called it ‘a very special book’

ALL OF THE LOVE HEART EMOJI FACES.

The Heist Society Reissues (22nd March 2018)

Aren’t they SO cute?!

Just before the publication of the new standalone Ally Carter, Not If I Save You First, come these three gorgeous reissues of Ally Carter’s Heist Society series. And they are fiiiiiine.

If you like bad-ass female characters doing bad things, then you will LOVE this series.

Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter (27th March 2018)

Danger. Romance. And a girl outwitting the bad guy. This is Ally Carter at her finest.

After Maddie’s Secret Service dad takes a bullet for the president, he takes Maddie somewhere he thinks they’ll be safe – far away from the White House and the president’s son, Logan.

But when Logan comes to Alaska, so does the danger.

If there’s one thing Alaska has taught Maddie, it’s how to survive. And now her best friend’s life’s depends on it …

The List of Real things – Sarah Moore Fitzgerald (29th March 2018)

Sarah Moore Fitzgerald was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize for her novel The Apple Tart of Hope, and it’s not hard to see why – her books are completely beautiful, full of joy and heartbreak.

Her new book, The List of Real Things, follows sisters Gracie and Bee, who have lived with their eccentric uncle since their parents died several years earlier. When little Bee’s incredible imagination begins to spiral out of control, Gracie insists she make a list: things that are real, and things that are not. But is that line really as clear as she thinks…?

The List of Real Things – along with a brand new edition of The Apple Tart of Hope – will be in shops from March 29th.
